The in room onsen is great but everything else was subpar and felt much like a rip off. They charged us $550 for a pet friendly room when regular rooms are about $300 then added a $50 pet charge. What's the point of paying for an overpriced room to get charged again for the same thing. We booked over the phone where they asked if we were having dinner or breakfast leading us to believe they had a package. It was not. The buffet is $65 per person and the better options are updated of course. The food was not worth what they charge. Would not recommend.

Stayed at Deluxe Twin Room with partially outside hot spring bath, garden view for 2 nights. We were allocated on the corner of the building which created quite ambiance however a bit disappointed by noise and voice from next door when they were also outside for the bath. Room inside is humid (and you know smell of humid and air conditioner) when we entered that immediately reminded me a 2-3 star hotel in Thailand or Bali. There were no signs on a room phone so took time to find out where to press to call reception, room service etc. Perhaps hotel service persons needed some training as some don’t quite speak proper professional Japanese. (They are indeed Japanese) Overall I have enjoyed staying and hotel staff were quite responsive but I think there is indeed some improvements on service persons, and also dinner is a over price compared with what we were served.

Very nicely renovated hotel that is modern with personal onsen inside your room! The room is clean and the staff are great. The variety of toilet amenities is good as well. The only downside I’d say is that the restaurant within the hotel is not that nice - The food is quite overpriced and doesn’t taste as good as it is priced. Other than that, I think it’s good!

Spacious room, high ceiling, private onsen. Service is great and staffs speak English. I ordered a bucket of ice and it was delivered to our room within 5 minutes. It is fairly new, so it’s clean. The amenities were Thann brand, however I didn’t like it. The in-room onsen size is consider big comparing with other hotels. Fits two people comfortably. I would request mountain side room next time as our room is right above the parking lot, I don’t feel completely safe while in the onsen. Although they have the wooden privacy blinds. Marriott is an American chain, so don’t expect 100% Japanese hospitality. Biggest setback of this hotel is the restaurant. It was unreasonably expensive and unappetizing. You don’t really have much of a choice as there is only one restaurant here. So I recommend eating out. Do not waste your money and calories at the restaurant in the hotel.

Great hotel with excellent service and good facilities including hot baths, fitness room, and free shuttle bus to the Shuzenji train station. The views of Mont Fuji from the hotel are beautiful.
