Lower quality and higher prices than most supermarkets in the area. Unfortunately it is the closest to my home 😕

As a tourist, looking to try to cook some local food with local ingredients, I stumbled upon this place when walking to my accommodation located in Yodogawa-ku neighbourhood. Japanese supermarket don't sell stuffs that is inedible (e.g. household items such as detergent or soap), which is different from our concept of supermarket. But that's okay, because you can find almost every ingredients for your Japanese cooking experiments of various quality, from rice, noodles, instant food, ready-to-eat meals, sweets, meat, fruit, vegetable, herbs, oils, sauces, and many more. Compared to Indonesia, the quality is obviously much higher and the price is far cheaper (a 250 g of very marbled thick shabu-shabu Wagyu slices are only ¥1,350 or ¥760 after dark). But compared to major Japanese store, these neighbourhood supermarkets selection is surely feels quite limited, especially on the seafood department. SP is conveniently located within walking distance from Higashimikuni station, if you stay within this neighbourhood. There are other services located within the venue such as tailor or laundry.

It looks old At first I was confused about entering, but Now I buy all the ingredients here. Previously, the croquette (freshly fried) in the side dish corner I received it, but it feels sweet and nostalgic. It was very delicious and I was surprised. The age group of the clerk who comes to line up the products With a wide impression, at other supermarkets I don't see much, so I thought it was good.

Since the homepage is not managed, it is closed at 22:00, but in reality it has been changed to 21:00. Some young men and women clerk have a bad attitude. If it's 3 or 4 times, I won't bother to write a word of mouth, but if it happens often, I'm angry. At the very least, I just need to do something that doesn't offend me, but ... If there is another supermarket nearby, I will never use the fresh food hall.
