A wonderful little Japanese restaurant with very nice wonderful staff. You'll feel right at home. They do have an English menu. Prices are great and food is delicious! I tried the nikudon and it was wonderful. You can sit at a table / chair or traditional Japanese table and tatami mat. Definitely stop by if you have a chance.

A few steps away from Momijidani Park and uphill steps from our great guesthouse Mikuniya is this shabby looking but amazing little old school japanese style restaurant. You can opt to do the sit down japanese style dining or the usual table and chair style. Either way, you will enjoy their affordable delicious food. :) English menu is available. They provide free hot green tea just like most JP restaurants. They sell beers and the yakisoba is so deliciously good that you will wish to order twice :) You gotta order the fried rice. Very nice service as they always smile. You will see some deers lurking around the area and good to visit this on the first or second week of November. This place is way better than those expensive restaurants you will find in Omotesando or downhill. They do not serve dinner because they close vert early.

ここは 「知る人ぞ知る知る」的なお店ですね 紅葉谷にありますが ここにこよう！ と思わないと出会えない所にあります 常連さんやここで飲む人が多く お昼にはいっぱいで入れないことも 少し早めに訪れることをオススメです そしてここで食べてほしいのが 焼き飯とアナゴ飯、そしておでん 今回はアナゴめし頼んでないのですが 値段も手頃で 穴子もしっかり入ってますよ 焼き飯はほんとに美味しいです 中華のごま油感はなく 家で食べていた懐かしい焼き飯 でもやはり家では作れない美味しさ 宮島へ来たらこれを食べるために ここへ来ます 焼きそばは 麺が柔らかめで追いソース付き 野菜もたっぷりで これまた何か懐かしさを感じる一品 おでんは500円で盛り合わせです 味がしみしみで具が柔らかく 注文した食事を待つ間に 楽しみたい一品です 季節が良いときは 外で食べることもできますよ お店の方もとてもいい人です

I don't know all the shops, but this is not a tourist attraction price. And delicious! The clerk is also kind and polite. I had fried rice and meat udon today!
