I bought a car sight unseen from Amagasaki in April. I was walked through the entire process of shipping the car to the US, had all necessary paperwork in my hands prior to the car arriving in my port, and was even referred to an excellent Customs Broker to handle my customs clearance. The car arrived (a little late due to the boat avoiding a storm) and the process was unexpectedly easy, I had the car within a day of it landing in the US.
Aside from all that the car was amazing! Once I got it and had a full inspection it showed that a fresh service had just been performed, the engine was strong, the transmission was sound, and the entire car was in as good (if not better) condition than what was stated.
If you are considering importing a car from Japan yourself, these are the ONLY people you need to contact. Quick to reply, clear and concise information, and best of all a car that exceeds your expectations.
