Unfortunately, it was closed on the day I visited. ． ． It's a small building, but it's a nice building where you can feel old-fashioned nostalgia! It seems that the name was changed from "Ishioka Museum of Folklore" in 2015. Well, this is just a matter of preference, but I wonder if it would be too hiragana or katakana to be an adult of ordinary Japanese.

I visited with my family. In the hall, many things excavated from archeological sites in Ishioka city and historically important things were displayed. Because the place is next to an elementary school, the children also had a good chance to learn about the local history, and I thought it was wonderful. The building is also retro and tasteful. He also talked about the famous billboard architecture in the city.

A mini-museum located in a corner of the elementary school on the ruins of the government office of Hitachi. If you are lucky, you may come across an excavation.
