Unique sponge cake you'll find in Kyoto. about arrive at closer time as the ice cream part is closed and you won't get to see how they carve the cake. You have only option to buy a whole cake and some cool cookies. We enjoyed their taste of both of them and although it was big. We took the cake a day after to the park and it was still fresh so don't worry about it. Enjoy!!!

The baumkuchen is really good though I did try it at another store. Here I had kotabe, which were pretty good. But I wouldn't miss the other shops here for it as you can find them in many places.

Kyo Baum takes the baumkuchen to a new, more elegant level with their matcha and soy milk baumkuchen and thick matcha glaze and turns it into *the* sweet treat to try while in Kyoto. Lovely packaging, fantastic aroma, but given they only have two locations in Kyoto, it tasted more... commercial than I expected it to. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
