Historical sites..... there are wild monkeys running around as well. Jumping on roofs like ninjas. I would say take advantage of the ¥500 yen rent a costume to take some photo memories back with you. The historical videos are great with English captions. Just a great experience seeing old Japanese castle and village.

What a wonderful experience!! If you get the chance take it. Loads of history right at your finger tips there. You can see some major choke points and really appreciate the tactics used by the people of that time period. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Cool historical landmark. Beautiful inside the castle courtyards; there are even some monkeys to see. Cool place for taking some nice pictures. Only ¥500 yen to get in, and there are some interesting artifacts to check out. If you like history, would recommend, but even as someone who isn't a history buff, I still enjoyed it. On the top floor, you are also able to walk around on a balcony and see the water and city.

Beautiful fall colors. Going up the castle was a great experience. The outside was scenic as well.
