Amazing experience! As visitors to Japan, we were a little apprehensive about wearing kimono for the first time, but as soon as we walked through the door the staff put us at ease and made us feel really comfortable and welcome!
There were so many different styles to choose from that we had trouble deciding! Thankfully the staff came to our aid and helped us pick out the perfect combination!
Dressing takes about 45 minutes/1 hour with hair styling, but is quick and efficient, and never felt rushed; a very professional experience.
I highly recommend using them if ever you want to spend the day exploring the city in traditional kinomo, it was definitely the highlight from our stay in Kyoto!
Great experience and it’s cost effective. The boss Japanese lady is very friendly and clothes are neat and tidy for me and my girlfriend.
Very polite, efficient, bilingual speaking staff in a newly renovated building. Very large selection of male and female kimono designs, as well as appropriate sizes for children aged 8-13. Complimentary photo shooting on-site location. ¥5000 for full set rental for 6 hours for our group, amazing deal when compared to the selection and value other shops in the area had to offer.
AMAZING experience!!! The staff is very friendly and most speak pretty good english. Took a day trip to Kyoto and made a reservation the day before coming here. Highly recommend making a reservation especially during cherry blossom season as it does get quite busy! I decided to come 30 minutes early just in case and I'm glad I did because they let me start the process right away. Theres a small room filled with a ton of kimonos to choose from depending on the package that you get. I got a package that was around $50 and it was worth every dollar! Once I chose my kimono the guy at the counter helped me match all the other accessories and then I went upstairs to start changing and I paid an extra 500 yen for hairstyling. The whole process took about an hour, so plan accordingly. After getting your hair done and getting dressed they have a little photoshoot on the 3rd floor for free! Once you return the kimono it only takes 10 minutes for them to take everything off of you. Loved my experience here.
Very friendly staff and had lots to choose from. They worked really quick and for the quality the price was on point. Great location for walking around in.
