I came here for a dessert at 1030pm because it had good reviews and was open late. You arriving to the empty shop, there were only a few items in the display case. When I agree about the ingredients, I was informed that they were not available to go. I said I would eat there, then I was told u would need to order a coffee or tea and I could not order just the dessert. The owner insisted I pay over 600 yen for the add on drink, which was essentially now than the cost of the dessert. I agree about decaf, since I don't want caffeine so late and was told no. If the dessert looked better or if the owner was not such an arrogant jerk, I would have gladly payed extra. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go.

Great place to eat and drink when in Gion Kyoto Japan. Delicious tender fatty A5 Waygu.

Came after 8pm wasn't great. Had to buy drinks to stay and all the pastries where rather old so didn't end up getting one. Not a winner for me but would recommend trying at a early time for tourist looking for something sweet.

Came in around 8PM and it wasn’t too busy since it’s a little off the beaten path. A lot was sold out but there were still a few options. Got the cheesecake, chocolate/orange tea cake, and mille feuille (which was prepared incredibly by hand in front of us). All were absolutely delicious. So worth ducking off the main street.

Exceptional sweet experience in Kyoto. The owner is incredible: she was a cooker in Paris (at La Rotonde, a famous restaurant) and you can feel the sense of details on each order you’ll make. We’ve been there two times, and it worth it! Shame we’re living this far (in Paris, actually!)
