Without doubt, amazing locally brewed craft beer. The Grape Ale was exceptional, the Scotch Ale was unique and worth your while. Everything on tap you can try for free. Downstairs bar filled with locals, upstairs seating area a little bit awkward, but fine. The staff were welcoming and fun.

A relaxed ambiance, Matsumoto Brewery is small, but has the feeling of a craft brewery meant for trying the latest beers. It's intimate. I made friends, learned more about the city, and found a greater passion for beer. The craft Brewery market in Japan is slow, but it's places like this that will thrive.
