Nice place set in the mountains with limestone rocks and high cliffs

End point of the Ome Line From the Okutama station to the end of the bus that entered the mountain for an additional 30 minutes or more (This is the end point of the bus.) It is about 20 minutes on foot from Higashihihara. It is adjacent to Nishihara Elementary School which was discontinued. Here is an exhibition of forests and trees in a fine building of reinforcing bars. Pictures and photographs of huge painters of renowned painters, stumps carved countless annual rings, etc .. Please stop by all means. In addition, there is Nihara stalactite cave of Kanto's largest cave in this depth.

I like it, but I don't have much to see. There are some exhibits about huge trees.

I felt that the exhibition was halfway, but it was a good place to learn about the nature of Okutama. It seems that you can see wild deer on the mountain opposite. There is also a telescope for observation.
