Shobudani Pond is located in Takao Area in Ukyo-ku which is northern mountainous part of Kyoto City. The pond is within the property of Takao Park Way. This scenic driving road is a privately owned bu Hankyu Hanshin Holdings made for recreational purpose. The area of this Park Way has several recreational facilities with amusement park which is suitable for visitors with family. Next to the pond is a BBQ area where you can rent a space to enjoy with your party. There is a place where you can rent a boat. There are beautiful wild birds swimming around here. You can buy a bag of food to feed those birds at a booth. It is necessary that you have a vehicle to access this road. The cost of its entrance is 1,200 yen per vehicle.

I had a drive date from Nara. Duck on a pedal boat in the pond? It's funny that when you feed it, it comes out messed up. It will follow you as long as there is food. It's unlikely to be so crowded, so it's a great place to spend a relaxing holiday. However, a runner was running on the driveway. The etiquette was good, but I skipped it.
