Cozy station. Hachiko and family statue，so he is not alone anymore.

Wonderful small station! I came to see the birthplace of Hachiko and this was my stop. A shrine to Hachiko and a statue out front. I was there in January and it was beautiful covered in snow. The cab driver was so kind and she seemed a little surprised and happy at my wanting to go see his birthplace.

自動改札機のある駅です。 構内には以前、秋田犬のグッズ売り場がありましたが、なくなっていました。 現在は、駅前にある秋田犬の里でグッズを購入することができます。

I used it when changing from the Hanawa Line to the Ou Line. I heard that chicken rice lunch is famous, so I asked to buy it at the shop at the station, but it was sold out. Fortunately, there was a waiting time for the train, so I was able to wait and buy a freshly made product. It was a simple bento, but the chicken extract was good and it was delicious.
