Little town train station. There is an nice soba store in the side of the train cook by an old lady. It's nice.

Very small and enough for the population of the town. They changed the name of the city years ago to Echizen-shi but the station remains Takefu. Dangerous unevenness between the JR express train with the platform. Japan railways should fix it as soon as possible! The only thing that is good, is the Tenpura Udon inside the waiting room. Worth the outdated and ancient station.

Echizen Takefu Station on the Fukui Railway is about 350m away. Nan'etsu Station will open about 4km east of here. It is a single station only for the Hokuriku Shinkansen. It will be installed on the south side of Takefu IC. A shuttle bus will be set up between Takefu Station and Nan'etsu Station. However, I think it was more convenient to install it as a new Takefu station between Nanjo and Oshio on the Hokuriku line. The Fukui Railway used to operate the Nanetsu Line and passed through the north side of Takefu IC. If the Nanetsu Line had survived, Nanetsu Station would have been located closer to the Nanetsu Line than it is now. And it will not be a single station. There would have been a platform like Shin-Kurobe Station on the Nanetsu Line. However, it is another matter whether the connection was good or not.
