A stunning architectural feat with specialty drinks galore (peach cream black tea, anyone?), fresh pizza, and picture-perfect desserts. Take in the natural wood, floor-to-ceiling windows, and snazzy copper metalwork while you study, sip, and chat away. Enjoy the lush trees and serene river below as you lounge on one of two spacious balconies. (A truly magical experience during cherry blossom season, when pink, nearly-white buds burst from every branch in a blanket of beauty at your feet.) Discover the drink bars: coupled with the copper metal, they resemble steampunk laboratories complete with glass beakers and tanks of colorful liquid. Truly worth a visit and the short wait after getting a ticket from the shorter building next door. 1st floor: standard drinks with a bakery/pizzeria in back. 2nd floor: specialty teas. 3rd floor: coffee floats, lattes, espressos, and nitro drinks. The 411 (aka: why this is only 4 stars) So far, I’ve had a few of the teas and one slice of pizza. They were decent, even good, but you’re paying for the experience and brand (well duh, it’s a Starbucks after all). Make the most of it by studying/working or coming with friends. That said, one time I sat for quite a while on the balcony before buying a drink and no one bothered me.

Beautifully designed and decorated into details. Each floor has its own unique theme and it’s interesting to visit every floor to experience the different taste and atmosphere it creates. There is usually a huge line, given a ticket to enter the store. I recommend going in the evening when it’s less crowded with only a 10 to 15 minute wait. Plus you get to enjoy the terrace seats outside with the breeze. Staffs are very friendly and attentive. Maybe a little over rated. Would not bother coming again if I had to wait for three to fours. But they do have some special beverages and food only sold here so worth visiting if it’s a short wait.

This is my new most favorite Starbucks®! They have a huge range of beverages (and bread-based food) to choose from. You can enjoy watching the coffee bean roasting process while you sip on your favorite coffee made the way you like it. I couldn’t choose just one, so I tried the flights using the paper-drip method—two kinds of Columbians and the recommended Gravitas blend. All three were delicious as was the pizza and cookie for dessert. I ended up staying a few hours and was giddy about the experience the entire time. If you’re a fan of coffee, I can’t recommend this location more—check it out!

This is such a beautiful retail space. Amazing. But why is Starbucks so afraid of offering public restrooms? In any Starbucks there is only one restroom. Often with a line of people waiting. Nothing worse than sipping coffee next to a line of people tripping to use the facilities. Now in the four floors of luxury roastery, Starbucks only offers two restrooms in the men’s. It’s not that there is no space left, they just prefer to keep it empty, the facilities few and continuously occupied. It’s a little strange, a little funny and a little off for a facility that can hold 350 visitors.

Super crowded place! If you come here to enjoy the coffee you can forget about it. Staff was a HUGE disappointment for me... I wanted to buy some mug from the merchandise that they have there. I found the one I liked but it was an exhibition product. I asked the staff that was there if I can get new one in a box or something. She checked the drawer under and there wasn't any so she told me that they don't any more in stocks. She didn't even check in the back of the shop or asked anyone else. As I really wanted to buy this mug for souvenir I just took the one from an exhibition. The moment I paid, I noticed that they put NEW mugs!! The assistant I talked with before was there and didn't even bother to come and let me know! I have never experienced such situation before in Japan.... Of course forget that they can speak any English.
