The park is fine, you can have a nice walk in between the trees, have a nice view of the river but the zoo is really old fashion, the animals are in very bad condition. A lion in less than 10m2 is not the view you want to show to your kids. Penguins also in very small places. Enjoy the castle and the park, avoid the zoo.

Great place with amazing culture and beautiful views, great spots to snack and relax as well. Only ¥300 entrance or ¥500 if you want to enjoy the museums as well. The only down side was the zoo, very small cages and the animals all looked distressed.

Beautiful walk even in winter. Tradition, culture and good views. I would have rated 5 stars but I do not believe Zoo's are ethical.

Very beautiful park especially when there are seasonal flowers or autumn leaves. Very close to Komoro Station.

I have been visit this Japanese castle in Spring. It's a place that enjoy Sakura very well. There' s a small local zoo nearby.
