Maebashi Shiritsu Wakamiya Elementary School

In my youth, I lived in Wakamiya Town where this elementary school is built. Naturally, I thought that it was Wakamiya Elementary School because it was in Wakamiya Town. In around 1956, the town name which had been left in Maebashi City since ancient times was abolished by mutual aid, and the venerable names such as Hagi-cho, Kuwa-cho and Soka town were changed to a tasteless name such as Peace Town and Showa Town I'm sorry. Togawa town where I lived was changed to Wakamiya town together with a part of Seiji - cho and the national town. I remember feeling angry when I did things that did not get clogged a lot. However, if I read old historical materials, I learned about Wakamiya Town as a completely misunderstanding. Wakamiya Elementary School was established as Wakamiya General Elementary School in 1935. Originally it seems that it was a school that broke up from Doshima elementary school. There was Wakamiya Hachimangu Shrine near the small Shimoshima small, so I decided the school name as Wakamiya Elementary School from there. Later, when Maebashi City changed the town name, it means that the name of a historical elementary school was taken as the town name. In other words, the elementary school was in front and the town name was later. I knew for the first time that I was misunderstood for decades, it was a non-clashing name, an elementary school with a very long history (* ^^ *)
