Before capturing the castle, we recommend that you visit the precisely reproduced Tobiyama Castle model in the experience center. This is because the castle toe park is flat and has no height difference, and the trees are thick and the visibility is poor, so it is difficult to understand where the empty moat and earthworks are connected and what they are protecting.
Looking at the model, you can visually understand the basic structure of the 25-meter-high river terrace that was carved by the Kinugawa River, and the eastern side of the land connection, which is a weak point, blocked by a double empty moat.
In addition, the main entrance has been restored right next to the experience hall, and the empty moat, the towering huge earthen base, and the "Yokoyagari" that eliminates the blind spots of shooting and exposes the cross fire show the intimidating side of the castle as a combat weapon. It will help you to imagine the battle at that time.
In my case, the good citizens approaching Oteguchi to enter the park are regarded as enemy soldiers, and "Gun corps, in front!" "Ore Coco is coming! Bow corps, enemies in front of Oteguchi. Wipe it out! "" What are you doing !! You're obsessed with the earthworks, the long spear corps! Get rid of it. "" Don't be afraid! You've broken through to Otemon, or you'll be annihilated by the Ninomaru ambush. I'm enjoying it like a castle owner.
Am I the only one doing such a stupid and noisy simulation? (Lol)
You can tour for free. The history around Tobiyama is exhibited.
I felt that the site of the castle was amazing.
It was exhibited in detail, such as the historical background, and it was an interesting tour. Studying at the Historical Experience Museum and then strolling through the Historic Park will deepen your understanding. 😆 It is a flat castle, but it was packed with sights because the terrain was used well and the maintenance was improved.
Visited Saturday, September 21, 2019.
There is a large parking lot and a bicycle parking space.
Exhibited items and a model of Tobiyama Castle were the contents of the exhibition that could not be considered free.
Staying time is about 40 minutes.
They also showed about 10 minutes of video used in social learning.
If the time is right, they will be able to listen to the commentary of volunteers and open a castle ruins park tour.
There were local people from afar, and it was full of location.
It seems to have been used as a Tobuhiya, which gives a slowdown, and its introduction corner is one of my choices.
I also learned for the first time that the names of places such as Utsunomiya, Haga and Moka were the names of the lords at the time.
If you take a walk around the castle park after expanding your image here, you will be able to enjoy the sight of those days and enjoy it even more.
