One of the more modern train stations in Shiga. Receieved an upgrade a few years ago. Warmed indoor seating areas during the cold winter. More connections and more convenient than most other Japan Railway stations in northern Shiga.

Huge station. Has a Heiwado supermarket next to it. Nice artwork decor.

Although this station was renovated few years ago, the design and the atmosphere is still at it's nostalgic ambiance.

Even though it's a small station there are some stores and restaurants at the station.

2020/9/13 It's not that big as a station, but it's a tasteful building. There is a beautiful shopping mall called Ekimachi Terrace in front of the station, but overall there were few people and I felt a little lonely.
