Super Hotel Echizen Takefu

Wow. Hotel is brand, brand new. The front desk man was so incredibly helpful. He spoke great English and equipped us with a map and handwritten personal dinner recommendations and all their phone numbers in the area with out us asking! The onsen is HOT and the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were the best I’ve used anywhere in Japan (they smelled like lavender!). The hair dryer was also the best I’ve used in Japan anywhere... The room has a projector for a tv. They have a huge pillow and “amenity” selection downstairs, all free. I can’t wait to try breakfast tomorrow, since everything else is so good. They are really working to earn pleased guests. I love it. Best value in Japan.

I haven't used the super hotel since Asakusa, but it was great here as well. It's cheap, clean and cozy, and the service is necessary and sufficient.
