Akita Dog Museum

Although I didn’t get into the museum, they stayed in a place just near the entrance. You can try to take photos but please behave yourself not to scare them.

Interesting visit to the Akita Dog Museum. Ground floor is an office with sourvenirs available for sale. The museum is on the third level. There are usually a couple of dogs there but they are sometimes away. We were lucky they were around when we visited. Small group of 7 persons.

Only have 3 live Akita dogs at there. Other area are mainly to show their historical spicies. Not too interested at all. 200 yens per person. You can spend 15 minutes to end the tour.

A nice place to visit

My God, this place is depressing. The dogs look like they're waiting for death, and you can't pet any of them. The upstairs museum bit is interesting, but you learn that for a long time, the people used Akitas for dog fighting. I suppose for 200 yen, it's not too bad, but the dogs seriously made me sad to be here.
