Okutama Visitor Center

Super helpful and friendly man gave me hiking maps for Okutsma and the region. And he pointed us to a great udon place with handmade noodles!

Visited by car on a rainy Saturday. There is a free parking lot behind which 4 or 5 cars can be parked. I was interested in trail running and went to collect information, but I was very grateful that the guide spoke to me with a natural sense of distance. I am happy to receive a map and a booklet of tourist information for free and to listen to recommended courses. Once again, I was surprised by the number of mountain trails.

The staff at the counter does not know even if they notice this. impossible. I was amazed and couldn't hear anything.

Go to the riverside at an event at the visitor center. If you go by train, you can enjoy the traffic even during the Obon season.

It's a good place! I enjoyed bouldering for the first time.
