Pretty and very colorful during autumn -t's one of the things you do when in Kyoto. Pretty decent, we stumbled across a Buddhist temple and participate in a tea ceremony. Very awesome. There's lots of places to eat in the area so don't bother bringing snacks. If you're going to visit the bamboo forest then go at night as the lighting is pretty decent and it makes it appear as if it's larger than it actually is. Worth rent a boat and wonder around at least for 1 hour and enjoy the scenery. the whole are need at least half day to visit everything.

I have come to this place several times in the past seventeen years. I have a long love story with Katsura River. It’s still magical.

From here , you can see the Togetsu Bridge and the Katsura River with beautiful scenery especially during the maple red season or the Sakura blossom! However, it can be very crowded during the holidays.
