The lake view changes about halfway at ichibataguchi. It starts on the right but the conductor moves to the other end and goes “backwards” so you have to go to the left side to see the lake. On the weekdays it only runs about once an hour or so. It took an hour to get to the other end of the line to the onsen on the pink shimanekko go train.

Plenty of atmosphere at the station at the end of the field. It smells like a toilet just like Tennocho station in Yokohama. The ticketing machine is out of service. There was a measuring instrument to weigh the luggage, and I remembered that I was at the station when I was a kid. Don't you bother to go there? (I went all the way)

On October 3rd, I took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Okayama, and from Okayama I took the limited express Yakumo to Izumo City. I was able to see Lake Shinji on the way, the scenery was good, and the train operator guided me, so it was a comfortable train trip. From Izumo City, I took the Ichibata Electric Railway and changed at the Kawato to the front of Izumo Taisha Shrine. The Ichibata Electric Railway is also a popular railway, and many people went to Izumo Taisha Shrine and Matsue Shishidoko Onsen. Due to time constraints, I only boarded the Taisha Line this time, but if I have a chance to go again, I definitely want to take the Kitamatsue Line.

A one-day free ticket (1600 yen) is a great deal for sightseeing. Dentetsu Izumoshi Station ⇔ Izumo Taisha Station is 1000 yen round trip. Dentetsu Izumoshi Station ⇔ Shinjiko Onsen Station is 1400 yen round trip. Bataden has a wonderful train window on Lake Shinji, a flat switchback station, and a historic station building.

JRの駅横にある、可愛い待合室があり、そこのベンチで改札を待つ、入口手前のロゴにも電飾があるとわかりやすい。
