This is a review of my very first visit around 2004 ish when I came for a DJ Sasha amd John Digweed party. Yes it was 16 years ego but still its the same place. Unfortunately many of my favorite locations have closed in Tokyo as well as NYC this one still remains open. I have made great memories in this place.

I don't know if it means all that much, but I want to preface this with the fact that I don't really like going clubbing or dancing, usually. I've been wanting to check out Bootie ever since Party Ben had the sixxmixx on Live 105, but I hadn't made it out until recently. and it was a great time.

Came for the 2020 New Year's countdown, was awesome and awful at the same time so averaging it to 3 stars. Pros: - The crowd had an awesome vibe with everyone dancing - Most of the DJs were excellent - Great sound system - Amazing lights - it was honestly more entertaining than watching some of the artists - Many many lockers available for only 300 yen (roughly a Small size compared to train station lockers) - Lockers available outside and inside (out of the wind!) Cons: - NO WATER AT THE BAR. You'll need to purchase a small bottle off the bar, or from several of the inside vending machines for 500 yen! I would recommend stocking up on a couple bottles from 7/11 beforehand for 100 yen, and storing them in a locker. At least that'll only cost you 300 yen to retrieve. - Most of the areas outside of the main dance floor seems to allow smoking, smells terrible. - Only 6 toilet stalls at the main bathroom, very very long line - Floors incredibly sticky and gross, people bringing drinks onto the dance floor and spilling them as security is very lax. I even caught a whiff of marijuana in the crowd, unbelievable. - The most cursory of pat-downs at the entrance, you might as well not do it at all if you won't put a little effort into actually doing it. I got two feather-light pats on my side. - For the first time ever in Japan someone groped me, and it wasn't an accident - it was a very targeted, persistent frontal grab by an absolutely disgusting little Japanese man. He probably groped several people in the crowd as he was in a shuffling line of people going the opposite direction as we passed through a corridor. He disappeared in the crowd before I could call him out. I've experienced unwelcome butt touches in clubs in the past, but never something so brazen. A gross and disappointing experience.
