Tenryu Hamanako Railway West Route ¥ 1000 I came here for the first time using a free ticket with a coupon. On the way to here, there was a happening that suddenly rained at "Fruit Park-Miyata" and the wheels slipped due to falling leaves, so I arrived 20 minutes late, but the event was also delayed. I managed to participate. The turntable has been a tour since the "Kyoto Railway Museum" and is said to be one of the few facilities in Japan. The building on the premises is also made of wood and is quite old, but some of it is still used as the headquarters function. It was a short time at the museum, but I was very excited to see various things on display. It is a facility that you can fully enjoy even if you are not a maniac.

Participated in a tour of the turntable and railway history museum. It is held every day. 13:50~, 10:50~ (*Weekends and holidays only) No reservation required 350 yen for adults, 100 yen for children (elementary school students) For details, ask the staff at the station. I saw the rolling stock for the first time, but it's fun just to see the train spinning. The Railway History Museum also had a lot of interesting railway items. Recommended for those with children and adults who like the railway. The station staff will guide you from the station platform.

In Funakira, Tenryu Ward, we took part in the "Wash! Rotate! Go by train!" tour (reservation required) in the extreme heat of the country, which recorded a maximum temperature of 40.9℃. The guide's sister (old-fashioned? rude 🙇) will guide you in a humorous tone. From the platform at Tenryu Futamata Station, board a diesel car on the Amahama Line and switch back to the car-washing machine-the lead-in line leading to the turntable. At the turntable, 360° rotation service is more frequently used than usual. After getting off, pass through the fan garage and go to the Railway History Museum.From the old JNR Futamatera era that was planned as a backup of the Tokaido line to the baton touch to the 1987 Amahama line, Historically valuable items are on display. In addition, it takes about 1 hour to reach the retired large water tower around the wooden station building and bathroom at the time of construction in 1952.

I visited with a child, but I was excited by the train on the turntable and the moving turntable! The Railway History Museum is not large, but you can see the garage, old materials and railway goods! The station itself can also be enjoyed in the stunning station building which is very impressive.

It is recommended that you visit the tour where you can see the real rolling stock, as the explanation is easy to understand. Even if you're not an iron otaku, you can still enjoy it.
