Bagels sell out soon so go early. One star off because only those made in wood fired ovens -- and preferably by (Montreal or New York style) Jewish bakeries -- can truly be called bagels.

When I stayed in Utsunomiya for about 4 months at work, I heard from a man who used to live in Utsunomiya by word of mouth. Many sold out in the morning, but this bagel was very delicious. It's hard to find the place, but it's also cute. I don't think anyone other than the locals can go without a car or motorcycle, but I think it's worth the trip. Although the number of cars is limited, there is a shared parking lot in the corner of the shop. By the way, in addition to this bagel shop, there are restaurants and other shops nearby, so you can spend some time. The personality of the husband is also a simple atmosphere, and it feels very good. When I visited the store on the evening of the day of the typhoon hit, the store was miraculously vacant, and some bagels remained, so I got one extra. It is a shop that you want to make time to visit again.

I visited around 12:00 on Saturday. A bagel that is so full that you can eat it with the sweetness and chewy texture of wheat. I'm buying a lipi. Various recipes have a sweetness, a feeling of bread, and individuality, all of which bring out the characteristics of the flavor and ingredients. The location of the store is narrow and winding, making it difficult to reach, but customers come to the store all the time. It may be sold out, so it is recommended to visit the store in the morning. It seems that you can buy it at this roadside station, but it's fun to choose from many types at this main store.

This is my first visit in September 2020. There are various bagels from sweet to side dishes, and it's fun just to look at the menu. I bought Koshian cream cheese this time, and the harmony between Koshian and cream cheese was wonderful, not to mention. To my surprise, I felt that the dough itself was very delicious because I felt the empty part was delicious. Next time I would like to buy a simple bagel. The owner is also a very nice person, and I definitely want to visit this shop (^^)

I bought it on the eastern side of the station (it can be bought on Tuesday) and it was so delicious that I've always been interested. Finally I was able to go to the store.
