Awesome! Was a lot of fun and we were basically the only adult climbers so we had the course for ourself 😍

5 courses for 3500 yen. Took us about an hour to complete. Fun group activity.

Forest Adventure Park Ohira was one of the highlights to my trip to Japan. I went to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto and it was very disappointing and highly overrated. Come here! The bamboo here is thick and you actually get to climb up trees to see the bamboo and touch it. They do thin out the bamboo where you actually walk and need to zipline. And... you get to zipline and do a whole bunch of fun challenging exercises. Make sure you bring clothes you don't mind getting dirty or possibly ripped. The staff said this is the only adventure park out of the 25 in Japan that has bamboo. Many parts of the course had English instructions. There are restrooms, small lockers and areas to have a bbq. The course took about 1.5 hrs and it was super fun! My wife and I came on a Monday and we were the only customers. We just took our time. Cost was 3500 Yen per adult and 2500 Yen for under 18 years old. The staff here is wonderful and very safety conscious. They have very limited English speaking skills but they will work with you. We had a good conversation with them after we finished our course. You can get here by either the Shin-Ohirashita Station (Private -Tobu Nikko Line) or Ohirashita Station (JR - Ryomo Line). We walked from the Shin-Ohirashita Station and it took 45 minutes. It was pretty neat to see the grape vines and country houses. Be careful as you walk the narrow roads. You can also take a taxi which can cost 1450-2000 Yen depending on which station you depart. You'll see their signs as you progress up the hill. They have plenty of parking too. I hope more people come here, it is really worth the trip and then you can take the Ryomo Line to Ashikaga Flower Park on the same day. You can make online reservations to any of their parks throughout Japan online. You don't have to make reservations but they told me they get booked on the weekends. As many as 200 people will come on a Saturday or Sunday. Make sure you arrive early as they start on time. Enjoy!

I challenged the 5 year old road and the canopy course of 110 cm at the last minute. The difficulty level was also fun. If you first explain that the lifeline is hanging firmly, you will feel less scared. I think it's difficult, but I'd be happy if you could sell gloves for children. You should bring it with you ...
