Beautiful Japanese garden with flowers and herbs. You can enjoy Japanese Macha with Japanese sweets. And if you like, you can feed Japanese carps in the pond.

A beautiful garden. For a small price you get access to a medical herb garden which I guess is very interesting for people with botanical knowledge. The main park is well crafted with plants and trees and with a beautiful little teahouse in the center of a pond. At the end, you get a free taste of 5 herbal teas, from which at least one is made from plants of the garden. You might wanna book the matcha-serving at the entrance in case you haven't had that already elsewhere

A picturesque little garden, surrounding a large pond with koi and ducks. The garden is calm and relaxing. The matcha and sweet from the tea house are delicious and the view is beautiful

Perhaps it was just the time of year, but many of the plants were seemingly in distress. Shame that the small tea house in the center of the garden was not open. The gift shop had some interesting herbal mixtures, though.

Oyakuen (御薬園) is a greatJapanese landscape garden with a big pond and a chashitsu, a little house for tea ceremony. Oyakuen can be translated as medicinal herb garden. The landscape is great, the botanical garden interesting, the lotus pont magnificent at the beginning of summer. There is also a tea house to enjoy a nice "ocha" green tea and "wagashi" traditional small sweets for the tea ceremony. Is a great place to visit in any season!
