Itaya Park In the Edo period, this Itabashi 3-4 chome and the Kaga area were the Edo Shita mansion of the Kaga Domain. In the Meiji era, the areas around Itabashi 3 and 4 chome became the property of Sango Shokai and were called “Sannohara” and “Sangogahara” The first founder of Itaya Miyakichi, a shipping company based in Otaru, acquired it. As a result of the extension to Itabashi, the second generation Miyakichi (who also served as a member of the Aristocratic House of Representatives) started construction of a large-scale residential area “Kamiyodaidai” by land readjustment on the same day of October. At that time, the country required to secure a park site for land readjustment, and in response, Tokyo City established a provision to create a park on the condition that the land was provided free of charge. This park provides land for Mr. Itaya The city was constructed in response to this, (1933) Opened as Itaya Park in Tokyo on April 29th.
