It is a small gallery, but the staff explained the history of Senju easily and carefully. It is felt that the things on display are certainly continued in human life. It is not a thing of the past, a thing, it is the spirit that is persistent in the people of Senju now. Thanks to the staff, I was able to spend a good time.
It will be a study of history around here.
There is Senjujuku History Petit Terrace along the old Nikko Kaido. Materials and photographs that convey the former Senju's appearance are on display and interesting. There is a Basho phrase monument at the entrance.
別 Betsuya, who sends the fish of the sweetfish の Bashio
Genroku 2 (1689), the phrase when Basho departed for [Oku no Hosomichi]. Not adopted in the text.
The monument was erected in May 2003 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the opening of the Edo period.
