Nikkō Tōshōgū Museum

Some great pieces that are directly linked to the Tokugawa shogunate. Museum is on the small side but its well designed and is very appealing. It is a must stop if you are visiting the Tōshōgū shrine.

Some beautiful blades, but very small museum and mostly no photos allowed

The museum is very interesting and inspiring. The garden next to it is a wonderful place.

If you have the time stay for two days in Nikko to enjoy the beautiful national Park. One day is just not enogh 😍

Amazing. Visiting it seems the must for temple lovers or someone who come to Nikko. I have been to Kyoto and Nara twice but I'm still amazed by the temple. The structure of the temple are just amazing. Also went to a temple where the staff demonstrated there will be only echo under the head of dragon and witnessing it was a must during the visit. Also visited the museum to understand the history of temple. Spent two hours and it was great. It may seem commercialized but I was okay with it
