Tokyo National Museum

A to go spot if you visit Tokyo !

For the rather cheap entrance free, you get to check out an immense amount of exhibits dedicated to so many various parts of Japanese history and culture. There's sections dealing with historical artifacts and cultural heritage to pieces of art and more modern exhibits. Not to mention, the buildings themselves are pretty important historical items. I'd say the biggest thing to keep in mind if you don't seek Japanese is that some items will have more explanations added in Japanese and just have the title in English, which could be supplemented with the audio guide. The gift shop is solid too.

It was fantastic visiting the Tokyo National Museum near Ueno Park..Got to know about Japanese art, culture with some rare exhibits and artifacts displayed. General adult fare was 1000 yen. The Museum closes at 5:00 PM and u will need a minimum of 3 hrs time.

Great museum, super interesting! Come as early as you can, because to see everything takes time. We had two hours and it was not enough at all.

A world-class treasure with gorgeous grounds, beautiful architecture and inspiring art. We went to the 👘 Kimono exhibit. Inspiring and educational, the sheer volume of pieces was staggering.
