If you are interested in history and chemical warfare, this place would be worth the visit. They have English translation as well, however no photography or videos are allowed in here. There are quite a bit of pictures that are pretty graphic as well.

Very cool place, very cheap and small museum. Cash only. No photos allowed. Most is written in Japanese with some English but not a problem if you have a translator. Worth checking out while you’re on the island!

Make love (like rabbits) not war. Among all the cute bunnies on this lovely offshore island, this poison gas museum reveals its dark past as a wartime research factory full of workers who were exposed to the toxins. It stands as a grim reminder of wartime and the lengths people will go to in their efforts to win it, and in a stark contrast to the current day of a place to visit for the rabbits. Tickets can be purchased for entry into 2 small rooms with relics and text describing them (mostly in Japanese). Photos were not taken out of respect for the place, and just to warn there are graphical images of those who had suffered from the toxic gases production.

Even though it's only one main room, the information within it is very interesting! They have an English info pamphlet as well as the major signs have been translated into English so I had no problem going through the museum. I dont want to spoil any of the info but it was a really nice museum that added depth to the bunny island.

a Forgotten Island...it's another name of this island. I got shocked that we have such a terrible history in the past, I would never known that if I've come inside of this Museum. Even recent years, the toxic gas bomb which is used for war were found in China, and people get damaged because of them... Why there are so many lovely rabbits in this Island? You can find out the reason if you learn the history...
