Sakaeya ​​Fried Yubamanju - Tobu Nikko Station

The highlight of our nikko trip! The skin was fried but didn’t feel very heavy. Usually, I can’t eat too much fried food in one sitting without feeling super bloated but not this. The red bean filling wasn’t too sweet. It was just right. An overall amazing combination. The owners are very nice too! I dropped mine and she offered me another one for free.

This shop right outside the train station had amazing fried Tofu skin desserts. They are made fresh and filled with sweet red beans. The owners were very nice and offered free ones after unfortunately we dropped one of them. It is a must try in Nikko.

Crunchy, sweet and with a tinge of salt. Dare I say one of the best dessert Japan has to offer!

Very yummy fried red bean bun with a hint of saltiness on the crust! The red bean paste filling is not too sweet either , just nice ! We went back for second visit ! Selling at 220 yen for one bun !
