This is the Seicho Matsumoto Memorial Hall, where the have reconstructed the life and literary works of the Japanese 'Maigret', author of over 300 books, many of them describing the adventures of Inspector Imanishi. For the fans of his works this is undoubtedly an excellent museum. For non-Japanese visitors it will be a letdown as there is no English explanation except for the well made brochure. Avoid this place unless you are a fan of this man's work.

Modern space with interesting exhibits of work and life. However no signage in English, although English brochure is provided. Air temperature is only decent.

Lunch on the terrace with a nice view ✨ The autumn leaves of Ogura Castle are wonderful, and the taste has improved.

I often watch Seicho Matsumoto's work on TV, but I don't think his background is unexpectedly known. If you know Kiyohari's way of life, you can understand the work even more. I am amazed at the huge amount of materials.

The exhibition itself has a turbulent Showa movie, and it has a great impression because there is Mr. Matsumoto's voice tape, a movie screening, and a restored second floor house in Tokyo. This is my favorite memorial hall and I have visited it 10 times. However, I didn't feel like I was taking a photo in front of the camera, just like taking a picture in front of the camera. It is really ridiculous that the memorial museum, etc. behaves as if it were an intangible object, making them anxious. I won't go for a while.
