No models are in view. 2 small exhibitions- one on Gaudi and the other on wood buildings. Not worth the $60 entrance fee. Skip it. Very disappointing. They insist that you pay on line which takes about 10 Minutes to download the info and then 20 minutes for viewing. I came for the models. The person at the front desk could not explain if they will every be in view. The website says they will be. When I showed her the website, she said “closed”

For those who are interested in architecture, this place is recommended. Though the ticket is a little expensive, new information and knowledge about architecture are guaranteed. They holds events from time to time. I happened to join the speech of Hiroya Tanaka on Gaudi's work. It was informative and worthwhile. The information about the exhibition, and objects displayed are mainly in Japanese and English.

The Exhibitions are decent at best and the merchandise is cringe worthy, e.g. cloth bag stamped with "Architecture is Culture". At the same time the entrance fee is ridiculous.

Rip-Off 2000 Yen Admission fee When I was there in September, there was not a single model of well-known architects; instead there were usually badly made models of lost competition entries by unknown firms including explanations why they should have actually won (in my personal architect's opinion hardly any of the the projects were good enough to deserve a win). There was also a photo exhibition which I found no more exciting. Even reading all descriptions, it didn't take me half an hour to go through the whole museum. 2000 Yen for this is simply rip-off.

If you are an architect or just a fan of model making you can not miss this museum full of fantastic models it's an architects dream. Be sure not to miss the storage room tour (hours are located in the main entrance information desk). In the tour they give you a lantern and let you wander freely in a pitch black storage room full of models including ones from top architectural firms.
