If you are interested in Tokyo, this museum is a must see. It covers the entirety of the city's history. The building design is based on an old Japanese-style rice granary, but it looks very futuristic. Inside it is extremely spacious and the exhibits are first-rate, absolutely fabulous. Actually, it is divided into two zones, one of the Edo period and the other for the modern period. Both are great. The designers and staff paid so much attention to detail. I've been there many times and highly recommend it.

Spent an entire day here. Hands down, it’s one of the best museums I’ve ever been to. My advice would be to visit this place after spending some time in Tokyo/Japan as that will help you appreciate the history better.

Spent 3 hours here, loved it!!! Be sure to get the free audio guide, much easier to listen than to read all the signs.

I absolutely enjoyed my visit to Edo Museum Tokyo. Everything about Edo Period is very comprehensive and they also offer instructions/explanations in different languages, which is again very helpful. I loved the miniatures and how detailed everything was. I will highly recommend people to visit this Museum whenever they are in Japan.
