This is one of the lesser-hiked trails down from Sengenyama. As of May 2019, a few of the trail markers down from Aoyama Castle Ruins to this trailhead were badly damaged and unreadable. Hopefully this beautiful city will be able to repair the trail markers soon. From this trailhead it’s a 3.7km mostly flat walk back to Ogawamachi Rest Area (Michi no Eki) along the Tsuki River through farmland: rice paddies, vegetable fields.

The view is good. There are not many other climbers. There is also a branch to get off in the direction of Shimozato.
