Monte Bakery

Wouldn’t come back here again if I came to Nikko unless every conbini here ran out of water. The two baked breads I got were crusty and stale, the coffee was hardly luke warm on a cold snowy day, the dining area was not homey nor warm, and the staff was impatient with my order even though we were the only ones inside. Skippable. Wish I went to the bakery closer to the station.

Pretty simple bakery between Toby Nikko and JR Nikko stations. They have a few standard bread options like cream bread and red bean paste bread, plus coffee and tea. You have a seating space for a small group or we can take away.

A nice, simple bakery and cafe near the Nikko train stations. The bread was fresh and delicious, and the staff was very helpful when I was looking for local specialties.

The clerk's attitude was terrible and I felt sick. The bread was abundant, cheap and usually delicious.
