An amusement park called Hanayashiki Flower Park is the oldest amusement park in Japan, aged 170 years. Located in the heart of the old city of Asakusa temple.
It starts going back in the year 1850, the history of Asakusa. Hanayashiki that In the beginning it was not an amusement park. But it is a botanical garden, so the name Hanayashiki means (The Mansion of Flowers Is the name remaining since that time Founding in the early stages It is used as a resting place for tea masters, haiku poets and toys, the Ferris wheel. The carousel was organized like a temple fair, with games revitalized until it opened as the first amusement park for vintage children and continued to add attractive toys such as roller coasters. The toys are improved. And create a full area Until the present day, it is still loved by the people. Inner area You can find a place that invites you to touch history, such as a player and a variety of shows. Many that seem like the old days. The most attractive is A ride that represents Asakusa in a retro way I spent a full day there, buying a ticket that allows unlimited rides of all kinds. I like being a kid one more time. A scary haunted house with puppets that move and can change faces The food here is inexpensive and delicious. Cute player It is suitable for bringing young children for a trip, no long lines, no need to wait. I love the rides, fun houses, haunted trains, and boats. It's a cute little amusement park and it smells like an era. Bright colors like in the 60's Above are many fancy flower gardens and cacti. It is worth spending the time on vacation.
Took my Daughter there 20 years ago. we still talk about it. House of Surprise was the most memorable ride of my life. Also get the crepes, they are delicious!!!
The rides were a bit shaky and abrupt, but that's to be expected as it is the oldest amusement park in japan. A great place to go with kids. The ice-cream tastes amazing.
Visited on a Wednesday and wasn’t busy at all. Hardly to no wait times to go on rides. Between each ride, staff members disinfected the seats and hand rails and also ensured you use the alcohol spray before entering each time.
Admission is ¥1000 and doesn’t include tickets for each ride. There is a free pass for an additional ¥2500, otherwise most rides are ¥300 a go or ¥600 for the larger ones like the roller coaster.
The park being the oldest in Japan, it’s definitely something to check out and you can easily spend an hour or two here. The helicars and sky ships provide great views of Skytree and Asakusa and the roller coaster is only a 1 minute and 30 second ride but has got a little more “umph” than you would expect 😉
Food wise there aren’t many options, I recommend venturing out of the park and into the shopping arcades around the area for some really great traditional cuisine and delicious deserts!
Overall I had a really great time that I forgot to take photos, so that should give you a good indication!
Enjoyed many hours, the lines for the rides were short. We arrived around 2 pm and left at 5:30. We rode everything, most rides 6 or 7 times. We had a crepe to tide us over. The lights in the evening were adorable. The kids were a lot of fun to watch.
