I participated in making Gohei mochi. It was hard to sprinkle sesame seeds, but it was delicious. It turned out that the luster and stickiness were natural of sesame seeds. The guidance and stories were interesting.
The clerk was kind to me and it was very comfortable.
My wife is very nice.

Here is my favorite cafe at the old Nakasendo post.
I have been able to get in touch with customers from the United States on 2016-07-01 for the first time in two years. Even though it was off the cold season, there were many customers and it was thriving.
This time, as a lunch,
Elephant 800
Gohei 550
Coffee 350
An earthen pot with plenty of vegetables, delicious and warm.
The Gohei-don here is a unique dish that you won't find anywhere else. The rice ball-like rice is covered with plenty of miso with chocolate-colored sesame seeds, which is extremely delicious.
As usual, the elephant and Gohira bowl are served with delicious vegetables and pickles.
Coffee dripping with a drip is also great.
A flower bloomed in the story with my husband and wife, and I forgot the passage of time.
My husband told me that coffee was a treat and I didn't have to pay for it.
(The following is an excerpt from the previous review)
As the expression before the dawn of Shimasaki Fujimura, famous for writing out “Kisoji is all in the mountains,” the old streets of the 1800s are almost complete, even among the lodgings of Kisoji, a mountainous mountain path along the Kiso River. Narai-juku is the place where it remains in the same shape, and the tourism has not progressed as much as Mabukujuku and Tsumagojuku.
In addition, Nakasendo is a difficult place in the difficult part of the former Nakasendo, and the steep mountain way of Torii Pass from the Narai-juku. This is the place that became famous by Hiroshi Kikuchi's main character, “Beyond the grace”, Kuro Ichiro, Torii.
It is located in the northern part of Kisoji, about 30km south of Shiojiri city.
Originally, the production of lacquered kiso lacquerware was thriving, but the production of lacquerware moved to Hirasawa-juku, the next post, and the quiet old streets have the atmosphere of the Edo period. There are still many lacquered craftsmen in the city, and they are active in repairing shrines and temples throughout the country, repairing shrines and floats, and finally painting gold leaf in Kinkakuji.
Since it became the shooting location of NHK's morning drama “Ohisama” in 2011, the popularity of this post increased again.
Nakasendo of this post is about 1km long and extends further to the north by cranking at the point of 1/3 rank key hand on the south side. This store is located on the right side of the house on the north side. The owner and his wife, who were born and raised in this area, have been in business for over 30 years and are popular because they can enjoy meals and cafe time in old houses.
In 2015, the former US Ambassador to Japan, John Ruth, was visited and the media was highly exposed, making it a popular spot in Narai-juku.
The building is an old private house that fits perfectly in the streets of the city. When you enter a diving door that is low enough to hit your head, there is a dirt. Immediately after going up, there is a parlor on the window side, and a living room with a hearth in the center, and a corner in the back parlor is a counter.
This shop is a valuable cafe in Narai-juku, open all year round, and you can enjoy delicious coffee and other drinks as well as alcohol and other meals such as miscellaneous cooking, soba noodles, udon and beef bowls. Even more attractive is the Gohei rice bowl, which has been shaped like a round rice ball that has been around for a long time. The unique Gohei candy with the traditional sesame sauce of sesame seeds is wonderfully delicious.
What I always get here is
Gohei bowl set 650 yen
is. At this price, it comes with two Gohei bowls and drinks, as well as boiled vegetables and pickles.
Although the hearth of the hearth is the Edo atmosphere, I am not good at sitting and always choose a counter. Here, Gohei Kaoru who enjoys talking with her husband and wife is the best. The crab is also delicious.
If you visit Narai-juku, we recommend that you stop by and see it.
In the case of a car, it should be noted that when you go north on National Route 19, there is a parking lot where a steam locomotive is placed, and from here it crosses the railroad crossing and enters the old town, but from spring to autumn it is 510 yen It is a pay parking lot. In fact, the large parking lot on the north side of the city is free all year round. And if it ’s not the top season weekend, you can drive into the old road and park in front of the store.
I calm down. The exquisite balance of Gohei Miso's miso is not too sweet.
