A great time! The Waku Waku Guide Club tour teaches you about the largely unknown past of farmers and their tenacious efforts to restore the Japanese cattle population, all with a guide who can speak Japanese, English, and French. We passed by landmarks while biking downhill, stopping by gorgeous scenery along the way. These were excellent photo spots. Afterwards, we stopped by a restaurant which offers a quite unique dish -- a sampling plate of 41 pieces of wagyu. It is possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity to sample cuts of beef which cannot be found anywhere but the hometown of these cows. The bike ride itself was exhilirating. Although it was initially difficult to get used to the settings of the mountain bicycle, our guides explained everything clearly and we were zipping along the road like pros eventually, with the experience resembling a roller coaster. It felt all the more rewarding to get to a new beautiful sight after taking time to trek down a winding road. If you're looking for an atypical tour filled with thrills and hidden sights, then this is the tour for you!

I had a great time on the Waku-Waku Tajima Guide Club's tour of mountain biking and learning about Tajima beef! We biked down a path winding around the mountains of rural Tajima, stopping along the way to learn about the land's true story about the miracle of Tajima cattle. It was amazing to be able to connect the story with viewing the land that the Tajima cattle traveled on, seeing some Tajima cattle, and tasting all 41 parts of Tajima beef. The 41 parts of beef were delicious, definitely an experience that you cannot get anywhere else! I especially liked biking through the area, as there were many beautiful spots to take photos (we stopped a few times along the way to do so). It is the kind of area that is difficult to visit by yourself without a guide and a car, so I definitely recommend this trip for those wanting to see a different side of Japan!

I had the opportunity to test the circuit-guide to the day with 3 hours of cycling and tasting of beef Tajima, and it was superb! The guide speaks English and clearly explains with pictures, and he makes us discover the story of this beef so famous and known as Koube beef! But do not get me wrong, the oxen are all from the Tajima region! This circuit allows to be in the heart of the nature where live these cows, with a forest and a dense vegetation, which one does not usually see in France. To top it off, the Tajima beef tasting gives the opportunity to taste all (or almost) portions of Tajima beef, grilled and to taste with or without sauce. A delight! In short I recommend this tour to all people who want to visit a Japan off the beaten track and who are thirsty adventures!
