Nice local museum which focusses more on some Yayoi diggings from 2000 years ago. This section has good English. The rest of the museum has none but most is easy to understand by sight. Costs 230 yen to enter.
I visited after 2:00 pm on November 16th. There were few other customers and it was in a chartered state. It was quiet and I was able to observe it carefully and had a very good time. There are old burial mounds that have been relocated and preserved from other places on the premises outside the museum, and it is a place that tickles history lovers. Please come visit us ❗
I think that the Yayoi pottery at the history museum and museum in Kyushu is truly Kyushu. I wonder if it would be a good idea to write Kakenhi with the keyword "Yamatai Kuni". Also, Iizuka's uniqueness is the coal mine and Nagasaki Highway. It's a pity that I was in a hurry due to time constraints. There is a JAF discount.
I visited the museum for the first time in more than 20 years since I visited the elementary school students. I like history, but I wasn't very interested in local history, so it was refreshing to see the exhibits. Especially, the exhibition materials from ancient history to the Middle Ages were a learning experience. I would like to visit the museum again if I have the opportunity.
Iizuka's Jomon period to modern times are exhibited ^_^
Especially with the excavated items from the Tateiwa site! It is recommended for burial mound enthusiasts
