Kanaya Hotel Bakery Tobu-Nikko Station Store

Both branches of the Kanaya Hotel Bakery are but a shadow of their former selves in the Covid era. They have a very limited selection in an attempt to control costs. They no longer make the fruit muffin with candied angelica and cherries.

Their bread is tasty. Cinnamon toast was so good! Though they don't have espresso drinks, cafe au lait was good.

There was a waiting time for the train, so I went in for lunch. The curry that Kanaya Hotel is proud of was really delicious. There was another pair besides us because of the influence of Corona. The 2nd floor is a coffee shop and the 1st floor is a bakery shop. It was a pity that there was almost no bread. I'm lonely because this is also the influence of Corona.

I had a curry for 100 years at the cafe on the second floor, but the taste of mass-produced retort curry made the meat dry and different from the curry at Kanaya Hotel. Bread and bread are fluffy, but other breads are hard and hard to eat without drinks!
