Matsuya Super Yamashina Sanjo

Quite close to the train station. Has just about everything you need in a supermarket. Parking spots are available on the building.

This is the main grocery store in Yamashina, and it's usually packed with patrons. There's a full selection of most things, but you will have a hard time finding import foods if that's what you're looking for. The meat/fish is reasonably priced. I am a little disappointed at the size of the freezer section compared to different chains like Izumiya or Life. If you want stuff from the pre-made section, get there early. Most sushi is gone by 19:00 and it's almost completely cleaned out by 20:00.
