I’m giving this place 4 stars for the bakery on the other side of the restaurant. The breads and pastries were all amazing and French quality standard, which was pleasantly surprising and difficult to find in Japan. As for the dine in food, the lamb was great but a little over priced. The fish and chips was just average. The baked macaroni & potatoes tasted a little weird and the potatoes were undercooked. Fortunately, the staff were all friendly and efficient. Overall, I would definitely come back here just for the fresh bakery products but not to dine in.

We enjoyed our lunch there. It’s a spacious modern place and they serve simple but delicious dishes; we ordered the lasagna, a ricotta calzone and a chocolate terrine cake for dessert. The lasagna was good, maybe had too much mushrooms but it’s my taste ;-) the calzone and the cake were both delicious. We ordered a kid menu which was a success! Staff was friendly enough and comfortable with foreigners. The place was very kid friendly with high chairs and special kid menu. We all had a great time! Totally recommend it!

I think this was my favorite meal in Karuizawa. Lunch was phenomenal. Service was very efficient but friendly. The restaurant space is large, bright, and modern. We ordered the grilled chicken leg and the beef stew. The grilled chicken leg was served with a Cesar salad made with grilled romaine lettuce. The dish had a creamy tomato sauce on the side. The beef stew was melty fall apart short rib in a rich sauce with creamy mashed potatoes. The cocktails were also good. If we had another night in town we would have tried lunch. Plan ahead, even in the off season (December), there was a wait for lunch on a weekend! The cafe is also good if you need a quick bit to go!

Excellent bakery in Karuizawa old town area. Great coffee and great atmosphere for breakfast. We sat outdoor and had a wonderful and enjoyable breakfast. The plastic roofing panel is getting old and moldy and due for a replacement. Otherwise, everything is great!

Very nice atmosphere especially on 2nd floor or terrace. The pizza are very tasty and unique. Every time I come to Karuizawa, I am coming here to eat one. The bakery is also great.
