Favorite grocery store for its convenient location to my station. While not horribly foreigner friendly - staff who understand English are few and far between - the employees I've approached for help locating something gave always done their best. Bring a phone with a translation app, have some pictures ready of brand items you're looking for or preloaded Kanji or hiragana questions like where is item X and odds are someone will walk you to the right spot. That said aisle markers have English and generally speaking it's easy enough to navigate and figure stuff out as long as you aren't looking for something incredibly specific.
Two floor department store surrounding a good but basic grocery store. Large but nothing fancy. Prepared food is very good. Reasonable prices. Beside the grocery store, there are specialty bakers and a food court. There is also clothing & shoes, house stuff, ¥100 shop, glasses, photo shop, books, CD & DVDs, baby's store, game center and more. Spend too much time here.

This place has everything you need. Clothes, accessories, appliances, dishes, towels, vacuums, shampoo, a bakery, a bike shop, mcdonalds, kfc, a donut place, an italian place and ramen upstairs as well as a play pen for kids. Also has a grocery store on first floor. People are really nice and when they dont understand you they really try to help you understand what they are saying.
