Natsuse Onsen Miyakowasure

Tranquil. Very cozy without feeling overly luxurious. The food was superb and portions were voluminous. Focus is local ingredients prepared simply in the typical local style, no "kaiseki" pretentiousness. Very satisfying. There are only ten guest rooms and each has it's own rotemburo with gorgeous river views. The main bath is quaint, but not spectacular. But the private rotemburo can be booked by all guests in 50-minute intervals during your stay and is not to be missed. Perfect for an anniversary or other romantic getaway.

We stayed here for one night. The onsen is exquisite, and the staff are professional, warm, and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious and entertaining. We have many food allergies, but the chefs had no problems whatsoever meeting our needs. Modern and traditional mixed atmosphere and we had really relaxing time every moment of our stay. We will definitely come back here again!

Beautiful antique and classic interior, peaceful and calming atmosphere. A mix of western and japanese design. Staff coordination is very well. Comfortable rooms and full of history. 5/7 perfect score worth the scary ride.
