It was a very meaningful historical museum where you can learn not only the construction of young buildings but also the history of Wakamatsu and Tobata up to the present, and it does not seem to be free. I think the way of exhibition is also polite.
I learned that there was an island called Nakanoshima in the cove of Dokai Bay (near Tobata of Wakato Ohashi), that there was a branch castle of the Fukuoka domain on that island, and that there was a sad accident on the ferry. I did.
The Wakachiku Museum is operated by Wakamatsu Construction Co., Ltd., which is advanced by Wakamatsu Tsukiko Co., Ltd., which developed the port in the Dokai Bay area, and opened in 1997.
Inside the museum, you can experience the history of Wakamatsu and people's lives centered on the development project of Dokai Bay.
In addition, valuable materials that convey the history of the past are exhibited, and there are photographs, videos, models, etc., so it is a facility where adults and children can enjoy learning, but this is not an administrative facility but operated by one company. ⁉️ (details unknown), a company aiming for the development of the Kitakyushu region, or the prosperity of Japan ✨
Finally, I'm sorry that one company (I didn't know about Wakachiku Construction itself until today) operates a facility that tells the history of Dokai Bay development for free and contributes to the community! ️
Thank you for your postscript and puzzle.
I stopped by a child culture passport for summer vacation.
There was no explanation, so I returned without looking at anything.
I don't know how I got to put the stamp here
I thought it would be nice if there was a window that would pull in the children just like other facilities.
I think it would be enough if you put a stamp at the entrance of 1F so that you do not have to go up to 3F if you share the purpose or thought to the receptionist at the window or if it is troublesome.
It was founded as a Wakamatsu Tsuki port company in 1887 and is now a private museum of the company Wakatsuki Construction Co., Ltd. Entrance free museum. It is a wonderful facility that conveys culture.
Speaking of 1873, it is a story just before the opening of the Chikuho Kogyo Railway.
【River Hirata → Railcar】 若 Wakamatsu Port 全国 Nationwide
It is a museum that tells the history of Wakamatsu Port, which is the key to this coal distribution.
But···
【River Hirata → Railcar】 若 Wakamatsu Port 具体 I did not see the concrete flow of the whole country well.
And it seems that it was also a storage port for mining trees, but that area is thin.
Well, because it is a private museum, the appeal of tugboats is natural.
But it was a thankful museum.
You can touch Wakamatsu's history with valuable materials.
